Comment: "Not only
were Anne and her accompanying musicians a joy to see and
hear, but she is a genuinely nice person as well. As
it turns out, she will be a neighbor of ours at our new
house at Cabin Creek on the Bay River.
As an aside, she walked over to us at the Katrina fund
raiser and greeted my 95 year old mom, Jo and thanked her
for attending the concert. Jo really enjoyed Anne's concert.
We all look forward to Loudon and Anne. Thanks for bringing
quality music to The Old Theater."

"Dear Anne,
Thank you so much for sending me your CD's. Words seem
rather inadequate to attempt to tell you how much I
have enjoyed listening to them.
The only time one has been out of the CD player was so
I could put the other one in!
I enjoy each piece, but the ones I seem to enjoy most
are those that you wrote. I am sure that is no
coincidence. I suspect these are my favorites because
there is such passion and soulfulness in your
music."

"Dear Anne,
I was writing to tell you was that while I love music
in general and Christmas music in particular, this
past Christmas I couldn't bear to listen to any one of
my dozens of holiday CDs EXCEPT for yours. I was given
a copy of "Christmas" last year for Christmas. Your CD
was of great comfort - partly because your choices on
the cd were excellent and partly because it was you
singing. And I have to say that I loved your
arrangements of "Mary Did You Know?" and "O Holy
Night." I especially liked the fact that your "O Holy
Night" wasn't so high that those of us not cut out to
hit the high note at the end of the national anthem
could still sing along! "-- FLAVEL COLLINS,

Anne,
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you again for the
chords to your song. I took my guitar and mandolin to Ocracoke
under the pretense of working on some music for a community
theatre show that's
coming up. She never suspected anything! I sang it to her on
the front porch of Philip Howard's rental house
(where we stayed) - just a few feet from where we first heard
you sing it. She said it was a perfect anniversary gift, and I
gave the credit to you! It would
have taken me a LONG time to figure out the chords (the E
would have driven me crazy!), but you made it so easy.
Unfortunately, we are now back in the "real" world. We are
hoping next year to stay the two weeks around the festival so
we don't miss a thing.
Thanks again for all your help, and thanks for your beautiful
music.
Don
*** I met Don and Mandy Davis at the Ocrafolk festival and was
lucky enough to get to spend a little bit of time with them. I
was SO honored and pleased that they have found such a great
connection with my song "LIGHTHOUSE." As you can see from the
email, Don planned to surprise Mandy for their anniversary
by playing and singing "LIGHTHOUSE" to her, as they were not
going to be able to be on Ocracoke during the festival dates!
YAY DON!!!
SURPRISE ACCOMPLISHED!
And a VERY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU BOTH!!! With love to you
both!
Thanks for listening! -Annie

of seeing you last year at Ocracoke, and I play your "It's a
Beautiful Life" all the time......looking forward to seeing
you in Oriental.
By the way.....we are so "Psyched " that Livingston Taylor is
coming ....we saw him on Cape Cod when we lived there, and it
was one of our favorite Coffee House concerts......!!

Comment: Anne,

Dear Anne,
Do you have sheet music for Lighthouse? My wife and I have
loved the song since we first heard it on our first trip to
the Ocrafolk festival. It just so happens that the
festival falls pretty close to our wedding anniversary, and
we've kind of made it "our song". Unfortunately, we are
not going to be able to attend this year's festival.
Again, I hope all is well. We love your music, and can't wait
till next year when we get to come back to Ocracoke and hear
you sing again.
Best wishes,
Don Davis
Ranburne, Alabama
PS. I have just ordered your live CD...can't wait to get it
and listen to it! |
